Frost Museum of Science

If you haven't been to see the newly opened Frost Museum of Science, I highly recommend you go! One of my favorite things about the museum is the 500,000-gallon aquarium that can be viewed from three floors. They also have an amazing planetarium where you can see shows with a 360-degree view. I saw Journey to the Stars which featured a narration by Whoopi Goldberg and a trip to space to learn about the birth, life & death of stars. Other notable exhibits included:
  • Feathers to the Stars - Follow the astounding story of flight—from feathered dinosaurs, to brilliant feats of human ingenuity to the adventure of future space travel.
  • MeLaβ - Explore the amazing ways your body and mind work together, and how your daily choices can make it all work better.
  • The Power of Poison: From the Depths of the Sea to Your Own Backyard - Explore poison's role in nature, human health and myth, while coming face-to-face with the different poisonous and venomous species from South Florida and around the world.
  • Design Lab: Engineering - Part exhibition, part laboratory, Design Lab presents you with the challenges engineers face while putting your critical thinking skills to the test.
  • Da Vinci – Inventions - Investigate a series of interactive and life-size machines crafted from the codices of Leonardo da Vinci in an exhibition that brings to life his work as an inventor, artist, scientist and engineer.
  • River of Grass - The wet, wild and mysterious River of Grass takes young explorers inside one of the most precious ecosystems on the planet, the Everglades.

There was so much to see at the museum I didn't get a chance to explore everything but I know I'll be back soon!
