Travel Diary: Stuttgart, Germany

WHERE TO EAT
Osteria Pitellis - Mr. Shan and I had amazing Italian food here. This seemed to be the theme on our German adventure but what can you do? We both agreed the tiramisu here is unparalleled! We went here before visiting Ludwigsburg Palace because it's right across the street.

Bar Lillet - this is located inside Le Méridien hotel. Mr. Shan and I ate here our first night in Stuttgart and were blown away! We both got steak and shared the burrata. 😋

WHAT TO SEE & DO
Mercedes-Benz Museum - I loved this museum a lot more than Porsche's. As a non-car enthusiast, I felt like this museum had a lot more for me than just looking at all the different kinds of cars. You start your tour at the top of the museum and work your way down. They showcase the cars with timelines of world events that were going on at the time a particular model was being produced.  There are also side rooms you can visit on each floor with exhibits like famous people's cars.

Porsche Museum - if cars are your thing, you'll love this museum. They have a lot of rare and historical models. My favorite part was the café 😉

Stuttgart Opera House - Mr. Shan and I saw The Marriage of Figaro when we went for my birthday and it was amazing! I highly recommend seeing a show here and if you climb all the way to the top, you can see a pretty view of Stuttgart.

Ludwigsburg Palace - Mr. Shan and I got so lucky visiting this palace because not only did we get to see another castle but they were having a fall festival! I can't even explain how excited I was when I saw the most epic pumpkin patch of my life! You have to go!

WHERE TO STAY

Le Méridien Stuttgart - I loved staying here! It was so nice and the staff even sent me a bottle of my favorite wine, a signed card & a cake for my birthday! It's also centrally located, so you could walk downtown if you wanted.
