Miami Spice: Top Picks For 2019

miami spice 2019

Even though August means the start of school, we can't get too down because it also means the start of Miami Spice! For those of you new to this event, Miami Spice is a two month long showcase of the best restaurants in Miami. The three-course menus are prix fixe with lunch/brunch offered at $23 and dinner offered at $39. This is a great time to visit all the places that have been on your list - now at a fraction of the price!

Without further ado, here are my top picks for this year:

Bird & Bone: {Southern} Located at The Confidante, this cute restaurant has the ultimate comfort food menu. I'm going for the seasonal cobbler!

Cecconi's: {Italian} I looked at the prix fixe menu for dinner and they were offering burrata with pesto so naturally I have to go! It also looks gorgeous inside.

Cipriani: {Italian} My boyfriend Shan and I ate here last year for Miami Spice and it was out of the world! We both gave it a 5/5 for service, ambiance and food.

Jaya: {Asian} I took Shan here for his 24th birthday and it was amazing! It's located in The Setai - a very posh hotel. I highly recommend it. Worth every penny!

La Petite Maison: {French/Mediterranean} This restaurant has been on my list for awhile, not only for the food, but because of the ambiance. Based on the photos I've seen online, it looks absolutely darling.

Malibu Farm: {American} When my Mom and I were in California a couple years ago, we had this restaurant on our list of places to try. Unfortunately, we didn't make it there that trip so I'm hoping to visit now. They serve farm to table cuisine with a waterfront view.

Pubbelly Sushi: {Asian} Shan and I have eaten sushi at the Pubbelly in Aventura a few times and have never been disappointed. It's very fresh and flavorful!

Rusty Pelican: {Seafood} The view is unbelievable and they have some of the best lamb I've ever eaten.

Seaspice{Seafood} I thought this looked like a pretty brunch spot. I mean, $23 for a three-course brunch on the water...it's a no brainer really!

Swan & Bar Bevy: {Modern European} This is the restaurant owned by Pharrell. I've been seeing it featured in all the food magazines recently so I'm excited to check it out!

The Bazaar by José Andrés: {Spanish} The prix fixe menu for this place looks insane! They had me at s'mores chocolate cake!
