Don't worry, this post isn't my swan song although I did have an incident with a swan in Germany that could have proven to be detrimental...but we're getting off-track so that'll be a story for another time!

I'm writing to you live from Swan, the chic, modern European restaurant owned by David Grutman & Pharrell Williams. You may remember from this post that Swan has been on my list of restaurants to try so I was elated when a certain visiting sister gave me a reason to go.

We went for brunch but could have stayed forever. We chose to eat outside in the garden oasis and didn't get too warm under the fans. The Miami Spice menu was divine. Here's what I ordered: Shrimp & Grits with creamy polenta, english peas and cherry tomatoes as my appetizer, the French Toast with pecans, candied orange and amaretto whipped cream as my main course, and for dessert, the Tres Chocolate which was a cocoa cake with dark chocolate ganache, white chocolate & caramel chantilly and pecans. I also got to sample my sisters' choices like the Kale Salad with quinoa, pine nuts and a mustard vinaigrette and the Tropical Paradise which was tropical fruit, mango-passion fruit soup, jalapeño and roasted coconut gelato.

We made our reservation for 11:30 AM which turned out to be the perfect time to go. We were able to get street parking next to the restaurant and have our pick of the tables - inside or out. By the time we left, around 1 PM or so, the place was packed.

Overall, I would give Swan a 5/5. My companions and I had a marvelous time and all agreed that we couldn't wait to return!
